Lacey - Adopted - 11/29/16

Hi everybody, my name is Lacey and I'm only about a year old.  I'm probably mostly Labrador with a little something else mixed in.  I'm quite small at only 35 lbs. and still have some growing to do. I've been through some scary times for such a youngster, and it is very important to me to find a kind and loving family as soon as possible.  My first owners were moving away and posted me -- along with my 3 puppy siblings -- as FREE on Facebook.  A kind rescuer had come for my 3 siblings and noticed me standing in the pen trembling.  I was very frightened when I saw the rest of my little family leaving without me.

Seeing how scared and distressed I was, the kind woman asked about me and was told I was being held for someone who said they were coming to "adopt" me but never showed up.  She just couldn't imagine going off and leaving a frightened little girl like me behind, so she scooped me up, put me in her vehicle and off we all went.

Because I was so frightened my wonderful rescuer let me stay at her house where I could get some extra love and care.  GRRR is helping out by posting me on their website.  It has taken some time for me to learn to trust people, and new situations still make me nervous and uncomfortable.  I love other dogs and playing with them is such fun.  I'm a lively puppy who plays hard, loves to eat and I especially enjoy cuddling with the people I know and trust.

Do you like to cuddle?  Would you be patient and kind while I get to know you and my new home?  Do you have another gentle dog for me to play with?  I can't wait to meet you!  I've had a lot of changes in my short life, and I'm really looking forward to relaxing and enjoying life in my very own home with you.  I want so much to be loved and treasured as your best friend forever.

Lacey is doing so much better. She is a sweet snuggler
