Judy-Golden Angel

JUDY

Judy arrived at GRRR in April as a stray. She had a bad limp and was taken to Dr. Carpenter for an exam. Judy was also found to have a torn ACL, and just like Champ and Roxie, she too was overweight. Judy was placed on Overweight Management Prescription diet, Rimadyl and Tramadol. Judy went into foster with Bob and Darla Heldenbrand. After several weeks, we located Judy’s original family. They were told about her torn ACL, the surgery she needed and medication and rehab she would need to live a pain free life. With great sadness, they relinquished Judy to GRRR so she could receive the surgery and care she needed. We reassured them she would have excellent medical help and would live a happy life.

Judy is loving life in her foster home. She gets a ton of attention. She has a fenced yard that she can’t escape and she’s currently Bob Sr.’s favorite couch and snuggle buddy. Judy had quite a bit of excess weight, so it’s taking her a little longer to lose it, but as soon as she does she can receive the surgery she needs to repair her knee. Judy is happy in her foster home, but she is wishing and hoping to find her very own new family that can give her a forever home where she will continue to have all the love and care she is receiving in her foster home.

All of these stories are quite similar, but each story is very important to “that Golden”. The pain is horrible for each individual dog, and their lives have all been severely impacted by their injuries. Without surgery, each would live a life of pain and immobility. No wonderful Golden deserves that kind of life and, because of your support of the Golden Angel Fund, each will receive the medical care they need. The Golden Angel Fund is made up of donations from caring supporters and donors who give what they can to help these dogs go on to live very happy and pain free lives. Without this fund, GRRR would not be able to take in these special dogs, give them the help they need and find them homes where they will be loved and cared for their entire lives. Thank you for making their new lives possible with your generous donations to the Golden Angel Fund.  p

You Can Help

With your donations, our Golden Angel Fund helps improve the life of our Goldens that need special medical treatments. Some Goldens require special medications or surgeries. Without medical help, many of them will not be likely candidates for adoption.
