SWEET KATE. Our dear friends Amy and Scott have lost their beautiful Golden. Kate gave her love freely and easily during her 14 years, and the joy and comfort she brought us will always be remembered. Many of us know gentle Goldens, and we know the tenderness with which they so easily love. But Kate was that and more, the most gentle, the most tender, each and every day of her life. Kate was rescued when she was one, and came to live in the Roaring Fork Valley for the first part of her life. She was so lucky, living in the mountains just outside of Redstone, and her friends loved joining her to romp in the outdoors. Kate later moved to Denver and Colorado Springs, but she always was close to the outdoors. We’ll miss Kate very much, but know that she lives on in our hearts. Kate, we know you’ve joined Kesha now, and have all the time in the world to play, frolic and roll in the fresh grass just as the two of you did as pups. Sweet Kate, we look forward to seeing the lucky GRRR girl that takes your name!
By Michael F. and his Goldens Kesha (Kate’s dear friend, gone a year now), Molly (who loved Kate like a sister) and Lucy (who didn’t meet Kate but knows her through our nightly stories), for Amy and Scott, and their beloved Kate.
With your donation of $100 or more, one of GRRR’s rescued Goldens will be named after your dog. Your donation will honor the memory of your loved one and will help us give a rescued dog a new start to a better life. More information on Naming Tributes can be found here.
