I met Sally briefly one Monday in July. She had just arrived at Phoebe’s Place, having come in as a stray with an enormous mass on her muzzle. She was obviously in need of medical help. Sally was a sweetheart! Happy to meet volunteers and comfortable exploring her new surroundings, she went about her day oblivious to the tumor that disfigured her face.
A surgical procedure a few days later revealed cancer, and the decision was made to curtail any further suffering for Sally. This sweet, sweet girl left this world surrounded by the love of her new GRRR family. It is this comfort and love given to a Golden in need that Sally will remember, as I remember Sally with this naming tribute. May a new Sally live a long and happy life!
And here is a photo of the newly named Sally. Welcome to your new life Sally, and may you be as sweet as your namesake!
