LEXUS HAS BEEN ADOPTED BY A WONDERFUL NEW FAMILY!
Lexus is one of those loving Goldens you can’t help falling in love with. Spending time with her can really help put into perspective what life and love with a Golden Retriever is all about. She doesn’t ask for much, but really shows her appreciation for every little kindness, a warm place to sleep and help from the medications she desperately needs. Lexus has seizures from epilepsy, which is a condition that occurs more in older dogs.
But this unassuming gal is just happy to be a part of life. Lexus had no family when she joined GRRR. There was no one there to care for her and see her through, and it was heartbreaking for us to think that whoever she loved from her past life was no longer there to comfort her. After joining GRRR, Lexus moved in with a incredible foster mom, Kari Schoen, who instantly became her family, her safety, her comfort and her best friend. Even though Kari started out as a foster, she has volunteered to keep Lexus there in hospice. More moves and more changes would be too hard on her and she’s quite happy there. Kari has truly become Lexus’ very own Angel.
With the help of medications and regular blood tests, Lexus will enjoy the rest of her days with Kari in such a wonderful environment. Lexus doesn’t worry about her seizures. They aren’t painful to her at all. Instead, she focuses on the positive aspects of life and realizes that every day there is someone there who loves her. She also knows all of you are out there for her with your thoughts and donations. Our sweet darling Angel, Lexus, still considers each day an adventure. She knows in her heart that she is loved by many wonderful Golden Retriever people. Having epilepsy doesn’t make her life any less important than it was when she was a little puppy She has the right to a good life, no matter how long or short it might be.
Thank you for your support of the Golden Angel Fund. It makes all the difference in the world to Lexus and all of her Golden Angel friends.
