Murphy-6 years old (Male) Adopted 10/11/19

Murphy is approximately 6 years old and definitely not a Golden Retriever. Murphy came into our care with a Golden Retriever and was placed in a home. Murphy came back into our care when the adopters felt their larger dogs may hurt him because he was trying to boss them around. Murphy is a very happy, very playful little guy and quite fun to be around. He is a big cuddler and would make a wonderful companion to someone who would enjoy hanging out with him, watching him be a little goofball throwing the ball for himself and chasing it. Murphy enjoys cuddling on the couch, watching TV and going for short walks. He plays with anyone who will play with him, but will try to boss them around too. Murphy needs to know that his adopter is in charge, not Murphy. He is very good at letting you know when visitors arrive, but should also learn that letting you know is good, but stopping when told to stop is a must. He is a very sweet, affectionate and loyal little guy who is looking for that perfect home. Murphy has not been in a family with children and he is not a good match for small children.
