Burly is a 2 year old Golden Doodle who came into GRRR when the family felt they were not strong enough leaders for Burly. Burly is a very strong willed dog who has been through training, but needs a strong leader to follow-through on training. Burly will need someone willing to care for his haircoat. He needs to be brushed daily. He has a very short cut at this time because he was very matted when not groomed on a regular schedule.
Golden Doodles are sometimes thought to be easy to care for with their haircoats, but it is the opposite. You may not have the hair to clean up like with a Golden, but Burly is an example of the commitment it take by an adopter to give the constant care that their coats require.
Burly is very affectionate and loves attention. He is very active, playful and a good boy.
