Jake is a very happy, very active 10‑month‑old Golden who came into our care when his family realized that their lifestyle and his energy level were never going to be a good match. Living in the Phoenix area made it nearly impossible to give him the exercise and training he needed — the heat was simply too much for a young, high‑drive pup. With a lot of heartbreak and love, his family made the trip to GRRR and entrusted Jake to us so he could find a home that fits him perfectly.
Jake is looking for an all‑adult home with people who are truly active, committed to training, and ready to spend consistent time helping him grow into the wonderful dog he’s meant to be. He’s mouthy, jumpy, and full of puppy enthusiasm — all habits we’re working on here — but he needs steady guidance from his new family to stay on track. Our volunteers adore him, but with many different handlers, it’s hard to give him the consistency he needs.
