ADOPTED 10/12/22 SPECIAL NEEDS!! Sonny-15 months (Male)

Sonny is a very handsome 15-month-old Golden boy. Sonny loves to play and enjoys the company of other dogs and humans. Sonny does have a heart condition known as subaortic stenosis (SAS). He will need to be on medication for the rest of his life as well as have yearly EKG’s. In addition to this, Sonny also has hip dysplasia. Sonny will need to have surgery on his hips, which GRRR will pay for and has already scheduled for late November. After his surgery is complete, Sonny will need to be kept quiet for 6-8 weeks while he heals from surgery. He will be able to go for short walks, but will have to be kept on leash until he gets the all clear from his orthopedic surgeon. Our goal for Sonny is to have him in his forever home prior to surgery so that he can bond with his new family and get adjusted to his new environment.
