Gunner is a 4–5‑year‑old Golden who still has the spirit and enthusiasm of a much younger dog. His journey to us began after he was dumped and then taken in by a kind family. When a spay/neuter clinic was held nearby, a friend of our rescue reached out, knowing we work hard to give every Golden the best possible future. Gunner was neutered, treated for kennel cough, and has now fully recovered.

He arrived with his beloved stuffed bear — and he’s since added a couple more special toys to his collection. Gunner is an incredibly happy boy who lights up when he gets attention, goes on walks, or simply spends time with people. His joy is contagious.

Because of his past, Gunner needs a patient adopter who can help him continue learning what it means to be a cherished member of a family. He’s eager, affectionate, and so ready to bond — he just needs guidance, consistency, and love to help him thrive.
